6 min read · Updated Jul 2026
Create Nintendo Support Assistant and connect it to public-safe knowledge so customer questions use governed help content.
What you will learn
- How to run the AI Application creation wizard
- How to pick Support Assistant type and template
- How to bind collections on the knowledge access step
- How to activate an application for testing
Steps
- 1
Open AI Applications
Click AI Applications in the sidebar, then Create AI Application or use the subnav link.
- 2
Choose application type
Select Support Assistant for customer-facing help. Enter name Nintendo Support Assistant and a short description.
- 3
Apply a template
Choose the Support Assistant policy template. Templates pre-fill safe defaults for public-facing retrieval.
- 4
Select knowledge collections
On the knowledge access step, allow Nintendo Help Center and Nintendo Refund Policy collections. Deny internal collections.
- 5
Define audience metadata
Add an audience label such as Nintendo customers. Audiences are descriptive metadata today and do not sync customer identity.
- 6
Review and create
Confirm settings on the review step, then create the application.
- 7
Activate for staging
On the application detail page, set environment to Staging and status to Active so you can test in Answer Playground.
Common issues
- No collections appear during setup.
- Create collections under Knowledge first and ensure at least one verified document exists in each.
- Template apply fails.
- Open Policy Templates from the AI Applications subnav and apply the template manually after creation.
