Affiliate Disclosure Guidelines
Effective July 10, 2026
These Affiliate Disclosure Guidelines (“Guidelines”) supplement the Affiliate Program Terms and apply to all approved Wiki affiliate partners. Compliance with these Guidelines is a condition of program participation.
Legal Requirement
If you earn commissions from Wiki referrals, you must disclose your material connection to Wiki clearly and conspicuously wherever you share referral links, make product recommendations, or otherwise promote the Service. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) Endorsement Guides require that material connections be disclosed in a manner that is difficult to miss and easily understood by your audience.
Required Disclosures
Use plain language appropriate for your audience and channel. Acceptable examples include:
- “I earn a commission if you sign up through my link.”
- “Partner link — I may receive compensation from Wiki.”
- “Disclosure: I have a paid partnership with Wiki.”
Disclosures must appear before or immediately adjacent to affiliate links and calls to action, not buried in footnotes, terms pages, or “read more” expansions.
Placement by Channel
- Blog posts and articles: disclosure at or near the top, before affiliate links appear.
- Email newsletters: disclosure in the subject line or first paragraph.
- Social media: disclosure in the first line of captions or overlaid on video content before the link.
- Videos and podcasts: verbal disclosure at the beginning and written disclosure in descriptions.
- Landing pages: prominent disclosure on any page you control that promotes Wiki with affiliate links.
Prohibited Practices
- Hiding disclosures below the fold, in tiny text, or behind expandable sections.
- Using vague terms like “partner” without clarifying compensation.
- Making false, unsubstantiated, or guaranteed-outcome claims about Wiki.
- Presenting compensated opinions as independent, unbiased reviews.
- Failing to disclose in every piece of content containing affiliate links.
Enforcement
Wiki may suspend or terminate affiliate partners who fail to comply with these Guidelines or applicable law. Partners are solely responsible for compliance with FTC guidelines and all applicable advertising and endorsement laws in their jurisdiction.
